As the name “Aoyama original”, Aoyama original items used to be only sold in Aoyama Japan stores. However, nowadays, you can purchase these items in other locations.
There are several “Aoyama original” items such as bags, Lewis Leather jackets and so on.
About Logo
The logo is a little bit different from the original COMME des GARCONS.
The first letter “C” is cut out by dot.
Aoyama Bag
The bag is actually made with Yoshida Kaban(PORTER classic) 20years ago, and the feature of the bag is used corrected-grain leather.
The bags are made one by one by craftsmen, therefore, usually, it is sold only a few times a month in stores.
Lewis Leathers
As we mentioned at the beginning of this post, other items are sold in any CDG store nowdays, however, Lewis Leathers items are only sold in Aoyama store.
The feature of this collaboration is hand printed and damaged processing.
Designer Rei Kawakubo is known as a huge fan of Lewis Leathers jackets.
She often wears the jacket and it is a part of her iconic fashion style.
We guess that is part of the reason, this collaboration has been valued, and very popular among CDG lovers.
